Mellor Seconds 3-2 South Manchester Seconds
Match report provided by Second Team Manager Rob White:
The first game back after xmas and it showed, We were sluggish from the off, but went into a 3-0 lead. We were coasting in the second half and had all the play, and the opposition scored twice in a 10min spell out of nowhere really. The last 10mins we had to stand string as they were boosted and then felt they could get something from the game. However we stood form and finished the game 3-2. Valentine scored again, which is no surprise as he’s in a great run of form in front of goal. He scored two identical goals both half volley strikes hitting the ball down from the edge of the box to set us on our way, with lebo getting the third. Not a great game of football, but we continued our winning run and started 2017 with 3x points.
